ADSS(AII Dielectric Self-Supporting) cables offer lower cost installation when compared to direct burial or duct installation of cables.
QIANWEI ADSS cables are tailored to customer requirements. Proprietary software enables cable designs optimised to specific installation
and environmental conditions. Careful selection of suitable installation accessories ensures many years of reliable operation.

On request QIANWEI advises on installation design, using her proprietary software to minimize voltages the power line circuit induces in the ADSS
cable that can cause electro-corrosion and subsequent damages.

 

ADSS cable properties

1.     The simple installation on existing facilities allows this cable easily crossing of farmer fields, channels, rivers and the like.

2.     The metal free nature of the cable allows installation on a live power system with ensured safety for the installation crew.

3.     Separation of the power transmission system and the telecommunication both systems can be maintained independently.

4.     Application of special sheath materials assures excellent resistance against electrical erosion, even in high field strength environments.

5.    Due to its small outer diameter the cable is minimally affected by ice and wind, its low weight ensures a minimum additional load of the tower construction.

6.     The CET of ADSS cable could be ignored in the operating temperature range of -30°C~+70°C,and it keeps stable optical performance.

7.     Smooth round design and aramid reinforcement offer excellent aerodynamic and mechanical performance to the cable

8. QIANWEI ADSS designs are optimised using proprietary software, fully in compliance with the IEEE P1222 standard. The cables contain up to 144 fibres and can be designed for spans up to 1600 meters, suitable for operation in power circuits up to 220 kV.
